If the course does not have minimum registration numbers two days before the course is scheduled to begin, we will cancel the course and reschedule those registered for the following month.
Prerequisites:
This course is aimed for beginner climbers, no prerequisite required!
Can parents alternate each week?
Yes! To add a second parent onto your registration you will just need to pay a $30 fee, and then you can both show up to lessons or alternate however you want.
Can I sign up both or all three of my kids?
Yes! Similar to the parent add on, you can pay a $30 fee to add a second youth onto your registration. Youth must be supervised at a 2:1 ratio, so if you are looking to register three youth, you will also need to sign up two parents.
Will I get to climb as a parent?
This course is centered around youth climbing, but we will definitely get you up in the air occasionally to give you a taste for the sport.
Is there any minimum age limit?
Technically no, but we typically find youth age 4-6 get the most out of this program.
What are my next steps after this course?
This course is designed for participants to stay enrolled in long term. Each lesson will be independent of the previous ones, but they will all connect, meaning you can join into the program at any time, and the longer you stay in the more you will get out of it. When your youth ages out of this program, the Peak Program is the next program available where youth will focus on beginner technique and movement classes, and building peer relationships with other climbers.
Deposits and payments are non-refundable.
East Peak is not responsible for missed classes outside of Snow Day/Extenuating Circumstances cancellations.
East Peak does not offer single participant make-up classes due to the short program schedule, mandatory ratios, and staffing. It is the responsibility of the program bookee to ensure they or their participant is available to attend each scheduled class before they book. Switching to another day is never a guarantee as many of our program days fill quickly.
East Peak recognizes that inclement weather can pose unsafe travel to and from East Peak. East Peak’s Snow Day cancellations are decided upon City Snow Removal, HRCE Snow Day notices, and Halifax Public Transit cancellations. You can expect to receive an email notifying you of the cancellation from East Peak the morning of our weekday programs, and on Friday and Saturday evenings for our weekend programs. Please ensure the email you book with is correct, as all correspondence is conducted via email. If you do not receive a confirmation email from us, let us know right away so we can ensure your email is correct.
