Youth Programs
Alpine Start

Alpine start is our entry-level, family oriented program for parents and children under 7 years old. The goal of this program is to get parents and younger children comfortable in the gym and on the wall through group play, basic instruction, and climbing games over 4 sessions. Parents are not required to know how to belay at the beginning of this program, however parents are given the option to sign up for our regularly scheduled belay courses at no extra cost. Parents are encouraged to book in for multiple 4 week sessions if they are able to commit to them.

Peak Pushers 1

Peak Pushers 1 is for our 7-10 year old climbers, and is an introductory climbing program that teaches fundamental movement and climbing skills all through fun games and team building exercises. This program is meant to be progressionary, and to help new climbers build their skills to move up to Peak Pushers 2.

Peak Pushers 2

Peak Pushers 2 is for our 9-12 year old climbers, and those who have met the criteria to move up from Peak 1. Peak Pushers 2 continues to build more fundamental climbing skills with a focus on movement, climbing technique, problem solving, and socializing.

Climbers in this program will learn to belay, and should have a solid understanding of East Peak's safety rules and guidelines.

Summit Seekers

Summit Seekers is our 13-17 program for youth who have completed our Peak Pushers program and are looking to continue climbing recreationally, or participants new to climbing. The goal of this program is to continue a love of climbing through endurance, strength, and flexibility training in a social and low-pressure environment. This program is driven by individual goal setting, and is designed for participants to continue long-term.

Development Team

East Peak's Development Team is a pre-competitive program for youth 12+ interested in being introduced to training for climbing. This program is by invitation from the Peak and Summit programs.
