I have never taken formal classes, but have been climbing regularly for a while. Is this program for me?
This program will build upon skills learned in our beginner adult program, and will introduce new skills. If you have not taken these program in the past we recommend that you have at least a year’s worth of experience climbing. If you are unsure whether this or the Intro to Climbing program is a better fit for you, please email info@eastpeakclimbing.ca for clarification.
Does the class include rental equipment?
Participants are expected to have their own equipment for this class. Harness and climbing shoe rentals are available on a per-session basis when you check in.
Does the class also include a day pass?
This class does not include a day pass for climbing outside of the course timeslot.
What are my next steps after this program?
After this program you should consider registering for the Learn to Lead course so that you can start taking advantage of our lead walls, or Reach Your Peak if you're looking for and ongoing physical and mental training program. Chat with your instructor at the end of the class if you are unsure if you are ready for the Learn to Lead course or not.
All persons must complete an East Peak Waiver prior to entering the climbing area. Minors (under 19) must have their waiver completed by a parent or court appointed guardian.
All participants must abide by East Peak Facility Rules.
