Rope League Details & Rules
Rope League is our annual casual competition with both individual and team-based scoring
-
There will be 8 total sets.
-
Finals will be held on November 8th
-
6 new routes will be set each week ranging from 5.5-5.13-
-
Routes will be numbered and grades will not be revealed until the following week
-
Climbers will sign up individually and will be placed on a team (we try our best to create balanced teams based on climbing level)
-
There is no set time limit for how long you can work on a route.
-
Scores are based on attempts.
-
An attempt starts when your second foot leaves the ground, and ends when:
-
You complete the climb with both hands on the highest hold, in control,
-
You fall off,
-
You use a hold that is not part of your route, or
-
You put weight on the rope.
-
You must lower and restart for your next attempt as soon as you fall.
-
If you complete the route on your:
-
First attempt (flash) you get 15 points.
-
Second attempt you get 10 points.
-
After 3 or more attempts you get 5 points.
-
As an incentive to come in and log a score each week, you can earn an extra 2 points/week for submitting climbs from the most recent set!
